It's a poignant and very readable narrative packed with emotional highs and lows. It will bring tears to your eyes numerous times (at least it did for me), but also make you want to stand up and cheer for Monica and others whose stories she beautifully tells.I can't recommend this book highly enough. This truly was a book I just didn't want to put down. I found myself carrying it from room to room so that I could extend my reading time! Miller definitely has her heart in the right place, and she details her work in the pro-life movement in a way that makes you feel that you are there. If you are at all interested in the pro-life movement, or the abortion issue, I would recommend this book. I found it both informative and thought-provoking.

If you read this Monica, you are my hero! I am new to prolife, only 6 months, but well read and studied. I have met or read about no one like you with boldness and courage. Mostly people are talkers, not a lot of doers. But they are out there!

I wish I had the courage that Monica Miller has. God bless her and all those like her. God will reward them for all they do to defend life.I read this book because I value all life. I wish anyone who considers themselves to be pro choice would read it with an open mind and heart, and then explain how they can be so determined to stop women from hearing that she has choices, plural. Bottom line it comes down to the almighty dollar.May they have a conversion to the one true God and a love for ALL HIS CHILDREN!!!

I have read many books on abortion but never one like this. As a relative newcomer to the prolife arena, it was fascinating to realize the sacrifices and dedication of those who have been on this side of the argument from the beginning (and I mean FASCINATING as in : page-turner, lose-sleep, think-about-it-all-day kind of read!). The book was disturbing at times for me as a post-abortive woman (actually, disturbing most of the time because of that), yet the pure love of life that glistened through the author's words made it soothing as well. I learned so much...and it helped me to solidify my arguments--without using my Catholic faith to make them. The science and the pictures certainly speak for themselves. The courage of this author and the other pioneers was stunning. Monica, I wish that you or Edmund might have been outside of the Boston clinic on October 7, 1983 when I aborted the only child I would ever conceive. My baby might have had a chance to live his life if compassionate, generous people like you had been there to intervene. Thank you , Monica, for this treasure!

She recognizes the utter rejection of the babies, as the type of abandonment that Christ suffered in his Passion. First, the one who should have been loyal, turns the baby over to disinterested torturers - who also lack regard for the mothers. The victim is completely alone and helpless to protect herself or himself, as was the Crucified Christ. The abortion workers do not even ponder the humanity evident in what they call POC's (products of conception), though little children described what they found in a trash can as "little people". For me, a prolifer after a radical conversion experience, more inclined to facts than spirituality, it has always been hard to identify with the unborn. I saw them only as the developing woman or man, scientist, road builder, doctor, artist. Migliorino has connected the dots for me. My favorite part of the book is the dialog with inmates that the author had during her many incarcerations.

If we ever want to face our Country's collective responsibility regarding abortion, we each must become informed. Dehumanization always involves ignorance, and we must take our heads out from beneath the sand. Monica Miller's book is haunting. But it sets forth the truth and reality of abortion in America, a story that must be told. Each person must take a stand---a choice, so to speak. I pray it will be an informed one.

My 5 yo successfullly completed this book in 3 months. I do have to mention we went to a qualified teacher 4days/week every week, and we did reviews at home everyday. I dont have any background in Arab or tafseer, and I found it easier to navigate than Noorani Qaida.

We absolutely love this series. As a homeschooling family that practices Waldorf methods, I couldn't understand why my third child wasn't learning to read. His older two siblings picked it up so easily at the point he was in the curriculum we chose. I ordered something different, and then tried other/different methods. Nothing was working, and there were tears. He was then diagnosed as dyslexic, and we found this book series. It is working! We are now moving on to Blast Off To Reading, after completing the I Can Read books a and b. He has improved so much, and has even been reading some things on his own. He went from asking me if there was a way to get through life without learning to read (he is only 8, and this broke my heart) to trying out larger words all on his own. I cannot tell you how important these books are for our family. We are so grateful.

I use this book to tutor a child who has difficulty reading. She loves it and I can depend on it to steer us in the right direction. I'm Orton-Gillingham trained and am very picky about what authors claim about their material with regard to teaching children how to read.

My 5 year old likes this workbook so much that he self-initiates to work in it! He shows some signs of dyslexia and unlike my other boys, he is really struggling to have reading "click". This book breaks things down and makes learning to read approachable for him. It helps build his confidence while also teaching him. I'm really pleased with this workbook and plan to buy the next in the series when he finishes this one.

My 8 year old dyslexic 3rd grader, who when tested over the summer was reading at a 1st grade level, loves this book. I’ve had the book for a month now and she never fights me to do a chapter. She enjoys it. The book also starts from the very beginning, with learning the alphabet. My daughter was more beyond that but it was nice to hear her say something was so easy and breeze right through it. This book was also very useful to me as a parent. Before this book I had a hard time teaching her things since I forgot from school, ya know short vowels, constanent blends, floss word, etc. I now feel like a resource for my daughter, I could always tell her but now I help her understand reading.

This book is perfect for 5-7 year olds or those needing intervention in that developmental range. Trained OG tutors could use book A or book B. Parents may be able to use these books to help at home with preparation learning the information.Great colorful illustrations throughout the book. This book uses the Orton Gillingham Approach that is well known for reaching those who struggle with reading, specifically dyslexia.

I love this workbook. I have a 7 yo homeschooler who is struggling to read. We presume it's dyslexia. We tried other curriculum & although it was great she still couldn't keep up. This has been a welcome break from that & she really enjoys it. Reading has always involved lots of tears. But the way it's broken down gives her a sense of accomplishment which is so essential. We will definitely be using Book B after completing this one.

This is the best material for dyslexia I have ever seen. My daughter is 8 yrs old & she was struggling to read, but with these books and the games now she is in love with learning new sounds, phrases and words. I will be looking for math resources by Orton- Gillingham for sure and I will continue to purchase and recommend these products

I have a 7-year-old child that just got identified with dyslexia and got this book as a supplemental tool for her to keep up with her learning. The book is structured in a way that anyone can lead the learning process. I like that there are some tips for parents on guiding.While some of the images are hard to identify (e.g. a broom looks like a mop) and the directions seem a little challenging for a 7-year-old to understand (e.g. vowels and consonants), overall, it has been very effective and very easy for my child to digest as its repetitive nature allows you to be reminded of what you just learned.
